The TED story
Following the earthquake and tsunami of 2011, I founded TEDxTohoku with my friends, which continues to promote awareness of northeastern Japan.
In recent years I have focused on accelerating women empowerment in the Tohoku region, and have addressed public forums such as the “Tohoku University 100th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony and Festival” (2022, Sendai) and “Public Sociology Forum: Gender Equality” (2022, Sendai).
