Stephanie is an experience consultant, and is passionately pursuing a second career as a food blogger and e-book writer as her alter ego, The Recipe Renovator. She is a speaker coach for TEDxSanDiego and offers speaker coaching for other TEDx events as a professional service. Stephanie coached Richard Dreyfuss, business consultant Ken Blanchard, marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols, writer Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and software designer Viet Nguyen, whose talk Eyes on the Solar System has received more than 200,000 views after being accepted onto TED.com. She is the author of Creating Great Visitor Experiences: A Guide for Museums, Parks, Zoos, Gardens, and Libraries. Her second book is Golden Angels: Lessons in Love and Loss from Buddy Girl and Daisy May (e-book). Stephanie is the principal of Experienceology, a visitor experience consultancy based in San Diego, CA. Weaver has a B.A. in film and design and an M.P.H. in health education. I attended my first event, TEDxSanDiego in 2010, after being a fan of the videos. I was blown away by the experience and wrote two blog posts about it. One about the experience and one about how conference organizers could learn from TED. The organizers contacted me, I joined the team, and became a curator and speaker coach. This year I sat backstage and my "TED moment" was when a young African-American man met someone who had worked with Malcolm X. Goosebumpy.
