Brainstormer, Educator/Teacher, Filmmaker, Foodie, Musician, Producer, Writer/Editor

Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Received a BFA in Film + Video at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Moved to NYC in 2004 and began working in Television production. In 2005, I transitioned to feature films and narrative pilots, earning a living as either an Office PA or Set PA. In 2006, I landed my first post-production job as an overnight Assistant Editor on a broadcast TV show. By 2008, I had honed my editing skills by churning out countless EPKs, sizzle reels, music videos, corporate videos, and web-series. I spent the next 5 years working as a freelance editor on various broadcast television shows for Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, History, etc. During that same time, I was also editing my own short films as well as a few feature length documentaries. I began working at TED in January 2013 as a Film + Video Editor. My position here has given me the opportunity to edit over one thousand TED talks, contribute to the look and feel of online TED talk production, meet amazingly talented individuals, and travel abroad to either edit on-site during TED conferences, or to direct cameras for post-production. I love collaboration, and there is no greater satisfaction for me than to create a solid piece of art that will lead to inspiration in others. I enjoy brainstorming on new and inventive ways to capture the live essence of TED Talks for the online viewing audience. And it is my absolute pleasure to assist TED speakers with their performance in post-production (and sometimes even before they walk on stage), so that their ideas shine brightly for all the world to absorb and share. For these reasons, and countless others, working at TED has been a dream come true.
