I lead the Center for Global Discovery and Conservation Science, an ASU unit based in Hawaiʻi and Arizona, dedicated to the exploration and stewardship of terrestrial and marine ecosystems. I am also the director of the Allen Coral Atlas, the world's largest coral reef mapping and monitoring system. Other leadership roles include director of the Global Airborne Observatory, co-director of the Hawaii Marine Education and Research Center, and Chief Scientist of the Carbon Mapper satellite mission with Planet Inc. Throughout all of these programs, I emphasize scientific impact in resource management, environmental decision-making, community engagement, and public outreach.
