This interface of complexity draws out the best in Nina's natural ability to engender energy, focus and direction. Nina enables collaborative models of problem framing and solving. Nina draws from decades of experience in design thinking, complexity, empowerment theory, actor-network theory, innovation, knowledge creation and translation to make change that matters. Nina works at the interface of challenges that matter to governments, communities and industry. Recent areas of focus include human and social services for vulnerable and at risk people; increased adoption of renewable energy addressing systemic issues; transforming government to ensure strong institutions and economic prosperity; new engagement models for local governments; establishing and facilitating innovation eco-systems within organisations and cross sectors; and pioneering design thinking at scale addressing social, environmental and political issues impacting at national and international levels. Nina is a recognised leader in design thinking and designing for public good. She frequently speaks at international design and management conferences in such topic areas as management and design, design strategy and culture, and effective system-wide transformation and design-led change. Nina is Associate Professor at the Institute of Governance and Policy Analysis, University of Canberra in Australia, and Distinguished Fellow ANSOG. She teaches public management programs in the design thinking and co-design.

Making change with people for people. I have been working at the frontier of public policy using design thinking for the last 20 years. I believe everyone has the capacity to codesign their futures. And I believe we can solve our pressing problems by working together. I believe we can teach people tools to reimagine the most impossible solutions, and we can assemble the best minds to bring ideas into reality. I am passionate about designing solutions with a strong focus on the human - human need, human empowerment and agency. I am passionate about focussing creative design led thinking to address issues such as gender equality, the environment and education.

Design conversation architects are designers of the future who draw from sociology, dialectic, design, cognitive and behavioural science, participatory practices to create projects that empower and give agency to people to solve complex issues.
