I'm passionate about

Making a difference within a business or career context. I love helping people and businesses grow, succeed and develop. I enjoy helping people get out of their comfort zone and realising new limits!

An idea worth spreading

Shrek – it’s one of those iconic children’s movies that will become a treasured childhood memory of many growing up. If Shrek had a career plan, I highly doubt it would have included positions such as knight, town hero or royal elite. Lately I've observed career and progression seem to be areas most people are struggling with. I believe that we can sometimes get it all wrong – from a young age, there’s a desire to establish careers based on linearity (starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top) and single industry focus (staying in the one area or industry throughout your career). For some this might be perfectly fine, but for most its not. Realise your strengths, values and what motivates you. Build a career around your values and not an industry or linear progression if you’re not 100% sure that is what you want to do. Learn from the rapid changes in direction Shrek had to deal with and develop a career centered on your values, strengths, and one that embraces change!

The TED story

I became 'hooked' onto TED from surfing the YouTube space on value propositions and business strategy. I came across the very memorable talk from Simon SInek on the 'golden circle' and the rest is history! I use and integrate TED videos and insights into almost everything I work with!

Things you might not know

marketing and merchandising big spaces. I enjoy the nature of this work as its classic 'hands on' putting it all together - followed by taking a a step back to make sure all elements connect!
