I am a cross bench independent peer in the House of Lords, london, I work on food politics and climate change, I’m also a journalist: I founded a feminist magazine called Spare Rib almost fifty years ago and I have edited British Esquire, The independent, the Independent on Sunday, and the daily express. I have made many films, television programmes and radio programs and have written for a wide range of people.

We can’t get to net zero unless we radically change our the food system; yet it is barely on the agenda We will not halt biodiversity loss for the same reason We need to understand how intertwined this all is We will not achieve any of this if we do find ways to empower human imagination through art
