Leader for systems-level product, process, or technology development/start-up efforts with a twenty-three year track record of building and leading dynamic teams delivering breakthrough solutions to meet end objectives. I am a disciplined and creative hands-on leader who has efficiently lead diverse aerospace, marine, automotive, energy, and advanced materials technology programs. This broad technology base has enabled me to bring different perspectives and innovation together to win new business, marshal resources and technologies, and build powerful teams that deliver results.
I build and lead teams faced with systems-level challenges and no obvious answers. Often, the challenge is breakthrough reduction in cost or weight, or system efficiency, and is often viewed as high-risk. Programs I have lead include mobile systems such as aircraft, automobiles, or surface ships, and static systems such as solar power plants.
Specific technical expertise includes systems engineering, integrated structural design, and advanced composite materials and structures.

Leveraging the "magic" of advanced technology to solve pressing societal and environmental challenges, and to inspire young people to "invent" a future for themselves that calls them to make it real.
An idea worth spreading
PV solar power is now less expensive in head to head pricing than peaking power generation in the United States, and most other markets, and could be competitive with New nuclear and New coal based power generation within 5-6 years. PV solar power is already far less expensive than the power generated in most Island Nations and other countries heavily dependent upon combustion for their electricity. Distributed generation of PV solar power is the most economical way to 1) inject a truly sustainable power source into the grid at least cost, 2) stabilize the grid using dynamic reactive power compensation, 2) free up capacity on the existing infrastructure to accept more renewable power without the need for grid upgrades. A 1GW PV power plant can be built in one year, whereas a 1GW nuclear power plant could require as much as 18 years to be constructed.
