The TED story
I have always loved a great TED talk. About 8 years ago, my colleague Dr. Ramsey Musalam approached me about starting a TEDx program at SHCP. Dr. Musallam gave a great talk back in 2013 https://www.ted.com/talks/ramsey_musallam_3_rules_to_spark_learning?language=en.
We collaborated on TEDxYouth@SHC for 2 years. Dr. Musallam designed the program so that it would be curated, produced and directed by our high school students. This experience has been one of the highlights of my more than 34 years in education. I have had the great opportunity of experiencing 2 TED women events. Meeting TEDx organizers from all over the world was powerful and continues to inspire my work. Thank you, TED for being a leader in the work to combat Climate Change.
