The TED story

Back in 2010, it started of as curiosity as to how much potential the platform has in a country like Sri Lanka. Now we truly understand how it’s grown across the years with this year being our 5th anniversary. We have also branched out by even being the licensee of TEDxYouth@Colombo. We have now grown into a name that is re-known for quality and consistent experience across the country with companies now being long term partners. The interest created has allowed us to stand back after every event to say we’ve done amazing. This is also proved by us being on the TED Innovation blog numerous times and on press. It shows that there was a great potential in ideas that change our world and innovative thinking. The TED format is also very unique and original in Sri Lanka, which was one reason for its success and a reason to continue it Sri Lanka has no access to proper platforms for individuals to express ideas on a global scale. The format of TEDx allows speakers to do the same. The goal in hosting a TEDx event is to allow speakers to gain recognition, ideas to gain value and the audience to gain perspective.
