A father of two lovely sons, and married to my lovely wife Zina. A dog lover too! In addition to banking, I have been granted license to organize TEDxTadhamonBank in 2018, the first business event in the region, as well as TEDxSanaaLive.. I also helped organize 3 TEDxSanaa events (2012/13/14). I also attended TEDxAden 2013 and TEDxTaiz 2014 and TEDxBoston 2014. I was also lucky to visit the TED office in NY, USA in 2014. In 2018 I was so blessed to attend TED Global which helped me reignite my love and passion for spreading ideas and meet the exciting TEDesters and TEDxers community.

Banking back to basics (bbb) an overhaul to the banking system is a must to cope with the changing dynamics and demands. Actual investments in real projects rather than the highly sophisticated synthetic products. The importance of financial inclusion in the developing world is something essential for the whole world.

It started pre-2012 when my friend Mazen (who was the first to introduced TEDx into my country) talked to me about TED. Then we formed a team in 2012 to do the first ever event and it was a remarkable journey by all means and a huge challenge. We had an amazing success and this spurred us to do 2 more events. Then the situation in the country deteriorated a lot. Small events like Saloon events continued and I recently convinced my bank to do an internal TEDx business event which is always not easy in the current environment. I'm now going to to TED Global 2017 and I am looking forward for an absolutely amazing event and know more people and learn new ideas and findings. Since TED Global 2017, I have applied for TEDxSanaaLive license which was held on 28 April 2018. I am also involved with TED Ed Club YBS which is the first TED ED Club in Yemen.
