An idea worth spreading
I remember one day watching TV I saw an ad that from time to time I remember. The camera was in FPV inside the water and there was an island far away, you could barely see it. And a voice in off said: There is a family playing on the beach 2 miles away from here. Can you hear them? (you could only hear the waves) The voice continued: The White Shark can. I have just remembered it again because there will be a time in the future when you will not buy a house. You will build it for yourself for a fraction of the cost, of the time and of the energy compared from today. You won't need a bank to buy it, you won't need to hire energy and you won't generate waste. And this time is approaching very fast. Can't you feel it? I can.

The TED story
The very first TED talk I watched was Richard St. John - What leads to success. I remember this talk very well because it made a big impression on me. I was so impressed that I started looking for what was TED and why it was sharing for free such a huge amount of knowledge. At that time there were no subtitles and not as many talks as today, but it was a great source for inspiration. All those people sharing their amazing stories. About three years later I read about TEDx events but I did not pay attention to it. One year ago I decided that I had enough of this system so I started assisting talks where people were sharing extraordinary things they were doing. They were sharing their knowledge for free. I started joining talks related to open source, personal fabrication, DIY, makers. It was all unknown to me. TEDx suddenly came back to my mind. There is a whole new world outside and I could share it with my community. I thought then that I could organize a TEDxSitges event.
