Bio
In 1990, the captain aboard the sailing ship Orphèe III I was working on, told me "A marine environmental education would suit you perfectly". I got a Master’s degree as marine geophysics, while continuing my professional sailing in parallel. The combination of work and studies gave me an understanding that research, society and business have different, but as important, parts in environmental work. This led me to multidisciplinary PhD studies in water resource management and later a job as an environmental policy coordinator. However, I have not been able to let go of service and customer contact, so I was very positive when my husband suggested that we buy a restaurant together. I was given the opportunity to work with one foot in governmental work on ecological sustainability and one foot in sustainable entrepreneurship. My interest in sustainable entrepreneurship made me change positions at the county administrative board for a project leadership on sustainable growth. My skills in multidisciplinary work has led me to interesting jobs in social management, regional and rural planning, quality management, experience production, regional broadband coordinator and now event planning ;-)
I'm passionate about
Nature in particular the northern part of Sweden

The TED story
In 2008 I was invited to go to my first TEDx in Stockholm. It didn't change my life, but it made me very happy an I was really inspired by it. It was the first time I heard of 3D printers and the story of Spotify. Now I'm arranging my own TEDx Arjeplog together with Teo Härén who arranged TEDxStockholm.
