I'm passionate about

I am passionate to designing society in a better place by sharing ideas and knowledge with others. Therefore, I have been working on some projects for achieving my goals and organizing a TEDx event and gathering with attendees by sharing ideas is one of my favorite things. I always get inspired by them as well as speakers. Also, I run a blog called 'Economics for Everyone' to share my learning toward economics. I am a college student in Sogang University major in economics, especially interested in macroeconomics. However, Since I am really interested in learning variety subjects, I am studying anthropology, psychology, international laws and computer science these days. In the near future, I am planning to manage a social enterprise business model toward education and cultural contents based on local community.

The TED story

William Kamkwamba's biography, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, inspired me to organize TEDx event. It was from his biography that I first notice the TED Conference. At first, I was just curious what kind of speech did he give on the TEDx stage while reading his book because it was described a lot. However as I read the book further, I was enthralled to the TEDx event since it changes one’s life not only audiences', which is natural, but also speakers’! Until then, I just shared my knowledge in one-sided without considering myself and I ran a blog called ‘economics for everyone’ to share what I have learned toward economics. At first, I enjoyed writing some articles but as time went by, I cannot find any meanings toward me which made me bored. Thus sharing ideas in both-side, considering the speaker not only as an idea-giver but also as an equal interaction subject with attendees, which is a basic idea of TED, seems very special to me. From then, I have participated in organizing TEDx event to spread the opportunity to interact with the local community.
