Bio
Mitchell Joachim is an architect, urban designer, and Co-Founder of Terreform ONE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to innovative design solutions that combat the extinction of planetary species. With a Ph.D. from MIT and a Master of Architecture from Harvard GSD, Joachim is known for his pioneering work in utilizing living biological matter for fabrication and design purposes. He serves as an Associate Professor of Practice at NYU and has received prestigious awards like the Fulbright Scholarship and the LafargeHolcim Foundation Award. Joachim's projects, exhibited at institutions like MoMA, focus on creating sustainable, biodiverse cities through interdisciplinary collaborations and pushing the boundaries of design to address pressing environmental challenges.

Homes can and should be truly organic. Different from the kind of organic houses Frank Lloyd Wright had in mind, and actually edible. And while I'm at it; cars should be soft. We designed these ideas and more… Of course they are not brand new concepts, but its now more possible and relevant than ever.
