Diverse background in Mathematics, Internet, Human Resources and Finance, as entrepreneur, investor and teacher. Mathematician by vocation, thought at the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb in his early career. After 5 years in science, established his first company, in financial markets research. 1997 - 2001 various positions in financial industry, mostly in investment banking and asset management, including managing a pension fund. The first in Croatia to obtain the CFA mark. After active career in finance, founded several internet and human resources related companies, the leaders in their respective markets, a common theme being building ‘marketplaces’: SELECTIO – the leading Croatian executive search and HRM consulting company, Tau on-line (MojPosao) – the leading regional online recruitment company, Electus – recruitment and temporary employment company, Kreativni poduhvati managing classifieds websites and Kreativni projekti, managing social networking websites. In 2007 and 2008 sold Tau on-line and Kreativni poduhvati to DMGT, a UK-based media group, in the largest internet-related transaction in the broader region. Continues to serve as a board member of DMGT’s international expansion arm Associated Northcliffe International Media. Founded and finances a non-profit organisation Donacije.info, managing the website www.Donacije.info, which has established itself as the ‘marketplace’ for philanthropy in Croatia. Still teaches finance at the Mathematics Department of the University of Zagreb.

Life. Currently focusing on creating marketplaces, as platforms and catalysts for value-creation, including philantrophy marketplaces.

Creating marketplaces (exchange platforms) - in jobs, real estate ... and even philantrophy - does not only lower transaction costs and thus facilitate 'transactions' but is the main driver of the market development. Especially important in 'new' market economies or pre-market economies. Philantrophy marketplaces are particularly important since can be drivers for civic engagement and thus social changes.
