I'm passionate about
Peace! I believe that the road to peace begins with education within the local community. By bringing education and awareness to a local community, it will spread to the broader community and so on.
An idea worth spreading

The TED story
Many people have recommended TED to me in the past and I never looked into it. I guess I wasn't ready. I randomly stumbled upon and it has completely changed my life! I had just returned from Afghanistan, which was an extremely difficult tour for me. After I returned, I felt the weight of the world and it overwhelmed me. I thought about how to stop war, how to stop violence, how to stop waste and how to make the world a better place overall. I decided that it starts with education, teaching people a better, smarter, more efficient, more loving way of life. But I struggled to find a way to achieve my dream of a better world. I spent a lot of time on the couch, feeling sorry for the world and myself. One day I found the TED Talks: Peace Mongers series on Netflix, thanks to a technology glitch and my father-in-law. The series was made for me! It was inspirational and gave me hope that there are others like me working towards a better world! I knew I had to be a part of it!
