Bio
Jessica Tomlinson takes her years of public relations, marketing, and event experience and is pioneering a Me Time Movement for busy professional women to take a break from their latte sippin', pump pushin', amazingly crazy lives.
She has over 10 years of event experience in community and corporate events and helped produce the largest summertime festival in the Pacific Northwest, Seafair, which has attendance of over 300,000 people. She also contributed to branding and marketing for the largest media company in Southern Nevada, The Greenspun Corporation and Greenspun Media Group. Jess currently develops and conducts Leadership training for one of Forbes top 10 Best Small Businesses—Allegiant Travel Company.
Jess takes her personal experience of transforming from the "Yes Girl" and experiencing excruciating stomach pains from stress, to Miss Me Time, inspiring other busy, professional women to own their true desires, clearly communicate what they really, really want and say "No" without feeling guilty, so they can say "Yes" to numero uno.
She has been called a "ray of sunshine" for her optimistic nature and "Miranda" from Sex and the City since she's the get-it done type (a hard one for Jess to digest at first). Jess is passionate about inspiring ALL types of women to treat themselves like the beautiful queen bees they are. Her new book that shares her love of culture and acceptance, White Girl Diaries—www.WhiteGirlDiaries.com, launching soon. It's an "anything but vanilla" peek into love, food, and relationships.
In her spare time you can find Jess giving back to the community of Las Vegas, as the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce's Vegas Young Professional division's Community Outreach Chair or advocating for children as a councilmember for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Henderson. She also leads a women's empowerment group as the Tribe Leader in Vegas for Tribal Truth. Other times she is getting her yoga on, playing with her mini dachshund or savoring a fabulous cappuccino or glass of red wine.
I'm passionate about
I'm passionate predominantly about two things- changing the way women take care of themselves in this busy world and the way we all view ourselves in relation to diversity and culture.
An idea worth spreading
There is a Me Time Epidemic and women are the main people suffering. In this extremely busy world where women are expected to "do it all" we have allowed ourselves to be pulled in a million different directions. Expectations from childhood, society and ultimately our own feminine voice have overpowered how we view our role in this world. It's time for a Me Time Movement, not just for the betterment of women, but for the betterment of the world. Women are the healers, change makers and leaders who will pull our society towards love. When women are taking care of themselves and men are supporting the Me Time Movement we as a worldwide population will be better off.
