Suchismitra Sen Basu

Ms. Suchismitra Sen Basu wears many hats. She is an Early Years Development Expert, a certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Practitioner, Writer, Sustainability Consultant, a Social Entrepreneur, Public Speaker and an Animal Rights Advocate. Her passion for Early Years Development is the founding force for Little Papillons, a one of it’s kind and India’s first Emotional Wellness Initiative for early years and teens. Little Papillons also provides consultancy services for preschool curriculum and setup. Her venture Earthly Sienna is a skill development social start-up for rural women to make them self sufficient and to provide them hygienic living and basic education to their children. Earthly Sienna makes and sells organic, vegan personal care products and home decor products in 100% plastic-free packaging. Ms. Basu is dedicated to social causes and with this vision has founded One Earth Social Initiative, a nonprofit organization that works towards raising awareness on Climate Change and environmental crisis by conducting free workshops and various activities in educational institutions and corporates. She spearheads as the State President of West Bengal Elementary Education of WICCI (Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). She is associated with various educational nonprofits in crucial roles such as the Secretary, Kolkata chapter of ECA (Early Childhood Association of India) and head consultant for Early years program of Swapnopuron Welfare Society. Ms. Basu actively participates in various environmental awareness campaigns, animal rights activism and poverty alleviation for rural women.
