An idea worth spreading
How to win a Gunnies record through bridge gaps between people?
It all started with a small thought. In Israel there has been some debate about changing the words of the national anthem – The Hatikva. And I remember that moment, sitting and thinking to myself: changing Hatikva's words?! That’s impossible. And from that small thought it all started. I wished to find a way to create one moment when Jews from all around can unit together, without hurting or arousing anyone over matters of religion.
And what better way to do so with a song. Our song – Hatikva.
And so I did, I reached out for television station in Israel, I contact producers, ministers, anyone who would listen, and on Israel 60 anniversary it finally happened. Hundreds of Jews from different communities from all over the world sang to together, , at the same moment our song, Hatikva. And we won Gunnies record. And then another small thought came to me. Why not to it worldwide?
