Bio
Stephanie Busari is CNN's digital and multimedia bureau head for Nigeria, she also oversees CNN Africa's digital editorial and operational strategy.
She was born in Lagos, Nigeria but emigrated to the UK with her family when she was 12 and has lived there until she moved back to Lagos in July 2016 to pioneer CNN's first digital bureau.
Stephanie is passionate about crafting a new narrative for African storytelling and using digital tools to achieve that. She has won multiple awards for her work covering the missing Nigerian Chibok girls and recently gave her first TED talk using this story as an illustration of the dangers of fake news.
A passionate community activist, Stephanie founded TEDxBrixton in 2013 and curated it for three years before she left the UK.
