About Mohit
Bio
I commission the Factual documentaries on BBC Radio 4 - covering history, science, current affairs, politics, religion and ideas. There are over 500 programmes a year coming from a range of suppliers across the UK.
I joined the BBC as a production trainee and worked on arts and ideas programmes before becoming a commissioning editor. I have made documentaries on subjects as diverse as Bruce Springsteen, the history of pain, Nokia, picture frames, and the death penalty. My documentary Ashes in the Ganges, - presented by theatre director Jatinder Verma - won a Sony award.
When I manage to escape the clutches of the BBC, I enjoy wine, football and the music of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and PJ Harvey (amongst others). I also enjoy cooking and am on a mission to make the perfect risotto....so far without success.
