The TED story

My TED story, like many others, started in front of a computer screen watching an inspiring TED talk with some friends. I was greatly fascinated by the talk, but I found myself looking at the audience wondering: Who were these people? How did they find themselves in the this land of "Ideas Worth Spreading"? I was compelled to find out all of the above and most of all: Put myself in that audience. Surely, I thought, if I made it there then I must be doing something right. Against the advice of my friends back home, who thought I was crazy to think that I could just "Go and join that TED thing", I went for it. I'm glad I didn't listen to them, because here I am almost four years later I've been to conferences in Palm Springs, Whistler, Rio, and Vancouver. I made my way into the audience, became a part of the TED community, and made irreplaceable friends across the world.
