Bio

I used to be a mommy's girl before I set foot for my journey to study abroad. Being away from Mauritius, my native comfort zone reframed my perspective of life. Studying, working and living an independent life in cities like Singapore, Dubai and Sydney have turned me into a fearless woman and an agile individual. In S P Jain School of Global Management, I interact with 37 different nationalities and this contributes to my inner multiculturalism and transformational leadership. Back in Singapore, I worked as a part-time Physics and Mathematics tutor while studying and it reinforced my communication and multi-tasking skills. Moreover, I interned in both finance and marketing sector during the same stay period in Singapore. During office hours, I worked for an investment company and after office hours I worked from home for a startup company. During my second year in Dubai, I got the opportunity to host a TEDx event that was organized by S P Jain Dubai. I also worked for a company as a market researcher where I had to conduct multiple face-to-face surveys in the tertiary education sector of Dubai. That allowed me to meet a lot of new people, in a country that I barely had acquaintances in and it was an awesome experience to enhance my extroversion gauge. I have excellent organizational and leadership skills which were bred during my college years where I had to showcase time management as a Head-Girl between leading a team and handling my academics. Creative thinking, emotional intelligence, and innovative thinking are some of the traits that I was able to further explore through tri-city global exposure of my college. I am now in my penultimate years of studies in Sydney, specializing in my area of passion, marketing. As Philip Kotler said "Marketing is a race without a finishing line" and that is why my aim is to be in a permanent beta of learning, improving and evolving so as to excel in the never-ending professional world of marketing.

I'm passionate about

I am a senior student majoring in marketing and I originate from Mauritius. I am passionate about travelling and exploring new things. I believe that life is too short and that we should always make use of the time that is given to us to see and experience the infinite beauty of the world and its people. However, the conservative background that I come from made it difficult to live any of my dreams. The conservative barriers to my woman-self is what nurtured my ability to challenge the rules and be independent at young age. I broke barriers and today that made me a leader, a risk-taker and a storyteller. My life is what makes me a propagator of bravery and goodness. I studied arts for five years in high school and during that I time, I discovered my hidden talent for creativity. With time, I improved and I also got the opportunity to help in the facelift project of the premises of my school. Moreover, I have a soft heart for the deprived as I, myself have lived in dire situations once. That is why I have been a member of the “Benevolence Club” in my country for five years now. Being an avid traveller, mother nature is my best friend and I always take initiatives to protect it and keep it sustainable. As a head girl of my high school, I came up with a motion to distribute plantlings to every student and teachers for greenery preservation.
