STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Music) is a blended disciplinary approach to addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges. STEAM builds on the work of a growing number of scientists, engineers, and technologists who understand the value in meeting people and communities where they are and by engaging them through the arts. The STEAM model is a lens through which a variety of issues can be viewed, and it is a jumping-off point for conversation, action, and solutions.

A dear friend hit me up about TEDx after he spoke at an event in Brazil. I poked around a bit and found that there weren't any planned events in Milwaukee. The rest is (becoming) history.
