Bio
G. Ryan Ansin is an entrepreneur, early-stage investor, and philanthropist focused on using the holistic combination to generate returns and positive impact for those in the targeted communities wherein he works.
Today, Ansin splits his time between multiple entities. As an investor and advisor, Ansin has built a portfolio of industry-changing start-ups and growth stage companies in the tech, health tech, ethical fashion, and real estate. As Co-Founder of Revolutionary Clinics and an advisor to many cannabis startups, Ansin currently spends most of his time aiding in the development of companies, products, technologies, and brands dedicated to advancing the cannabis industry.
Ansin began retrofitting abandoned mill buildings in Massachusetts in 2015 to bring scaled indoor-agricultural into the fast-expanding medicinal cannabis industry while aimed at revitalizing strained, post-industrial-era cities across the United States. He has invested in both the cultivation and dispensary networks, as well as brands and advanced technologies and genetics. He and his team have invested, assembled, and advised over $200M in the cannabis sector in 2016 – 2018.
Within Revolutionary Clinics, Ansin leads strategy on the Board of Directors and is operationally the Chief Strategy Officer. Beyond Revolutionary, Ansin advises a debt fund dedicated to infrastructure for growth-stage cannabis funds and is a General Partner of a cannabis-dedicated Private Equity Fund based in Hong Kong.
Having guided the vision of one of the country’s largest indoor cultivation facilities and launch of Revolutionary Clinics, actively invested throughout the much of the professionalization of the emerging cannabis industry, and being President of a group of 300 Single Family Offices, Ansin is requested to share his experience and vision globally. Ansin is often requested to speak at events such as: ArcView, GreenTable, CannaBrunch, Forbes 30 Under 30, Family Office Association, World Economic Forum, and many more assemblies globally.
Prior to his activity in the cannabis industry, Ansin was President of Family Office Association, Co-Founder of Clarity Project – an ethical diamond mining project in Sierra Leone, Founder of EPHAS – a global photojournalism education nonprofit, and has been an active early-stage investor since 2012.
Ansin lives in Boston, Massachusetts and travels approximately ten-days per month to remain connected with the evolving markets in each state of interest and to explore accelerating technological advancements in each industry vertical.
Portfolio and advisory roles are available by request.
Ansin participates as Curator for the World Economic Forum Global Shapers in Boston, member of Nexus, Summit, and other young leaders’ associations and is a committed supporter of: ALCU, Orphan Starfish Foundation, Ashoka, Creative Visions Foundation, and Root Capital. Ansin meditates often, writes fiction, plays squash, only truly relaxes when SCUBA diving, and dreams of conquering kite surfing and HALO diving.

An idea worth spreading
I want to create an hourglass with enough material inside of it to last the length of the average human lifespan. I envision either a massive, standard hourglass with constantly pouring sand to alert people to the visual representation of time always running out, compelling us to work harder, more efficiently, toward meaningful outcomes.
If not sand, due to the required enormity of the scale of the hourglass, this could use a mechanical system that releases a marble once every twenty-four hours, which takes twenty four hours to propel through a series of slides. Then we could sell the day's marble and donate the proceeds.
