The TED story
I was exposed to the Ted community after secondary school. My first and favourite Ted Talk is that of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "The danger of a single story". I found this video while researching for my debating competitions. I loved the way she addressed the issue of single-sided stories and clashes of nurtured perspectives. From then on I got engaged more with the platform listening to podcasts and watching videos. I thought of bringing the TEDx experience to my high school and started a TEDx club at my school. Went on to volunteer at TEDxOysterbay , followed by hosting the first ever TEDxUniversity event in Tanzania at the University Of Dar es salaam in which I was mentored and assisted with organizers from TEDxOysterbay themed " ClosingTheGap" . After my learnings and experience , I am on my mission to host the second TEDxUniversity event in Tanzania which I will believe will be better and foster more impact to the university community , Tanzania and the world in general .
