Bio

As a Professional Speaker, Trainer and Coach, Becky has a unique viewpoint from the stage as well as behind the scenes as the Organizer of TEDxBocaRaton An independently organized TED event and the Director of Contagious Optimism Live. Prior to working in the speaking industry, Becky Woodbridge was the former president and founder of a highly rated South Florida real estate company, and as a 27-year major airline Flight Attendant. In two distinctly different work environments, Woodbridge saw commonality in the way that customer service is highly affected by poor moods and ineffective communication which can limit successful results both personally and professionally. Originally from Bangor, Maine,Woodbridge migrated down the coast and has become an active participant in the South Florida business community. Becky is also the founder of One Penny At A Time, a non profit that supports children in need with scholarships for educational programs. She resides in Boca Raton with her daughter EJ.

An idea worth spreading

I believe in making every penny matter. Even if 1 penny doesn't buy much it can certainly buy lots of things in other countries. It's not just one penny that makes the difference it's multiple pennies that will change anyones financial circumstances.

The TED story

My passion for TED didn't just manifest itself in a dream. I had been told by friends and loved ones about TED talks for years, and with a busy schedule,my beginnings with the non-profit had to take a back seat to more pressing personal affairs that is, until I stumbled onto Brene Brown's talk on Shame. As a professional business coach, I was floored by the informative and touching talk. By the time the 18 minute talk was through, I was hooked on TED and for 10 straight hours of video-after-video hooked and In a single day. I have become a TED groupie. Let me be clear here for those that don't know me personally: It isn't in my soul to fall in love with something and just leave it as I found it.
