Yonca Brunini is Senior Director of Marketing for Google in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and responsible for Google’s growth through marketing in this region, as well as its growth in Emerging Markets globally. She is also the Executive Sponsor of Google Zeitgeist in EMEA and board member of Google’s Cultural Institute. Yonca has 20 years of marketing experience across 3 companies- Unilever, Yahoo! and Google. She worked in marketing in Unilever for 10 years on brands like Persil and Lipton. She joined Yahoo! in 2002. After 4 years at Yahoo! in the UK where she held a European Marketing role as well as a UK Marketing Director role, she was one day contacted by Google, and said to herself "if you can't beat them, join them" and joined in 2006. Her first role here was Marketing Director for EMEA's Emerging Markets, a region she is still very passionate about. Yonca is a Committee Member of the Princes Trust Womens Leadership Group, which is dedicated to helping underprivileged young women bring their lives back on track. She lives in London with her Italian husband Giulio, their 2 daughters Yesim, aged 7, Asya, aged 5. Yonca is Turkish, with UK citizenship, where she has been residing for the past 15 years.
