Kamran Ahmed

I’m a psychiatrist from London living in Sydney and for many years have been on a mission to improve mental health in creative ways. Along the way I’ve conducted research (mainly on ethnic minority mental health), made films, founded the global film festival Medfest and written op-ed articles on mental health & politics, but I’m currently exploring the role of music. I've long had a passion for electronic music so launched start up Rave Reviewz which features event listings, artist interviews and articles often with a mental health theme. Last year we ran the ‘Music on my Mind’ campaign to raise funds for mental health charities and awareness of mental health issues which we are now expanding in to a global festival.
