Bio
I’m a designer and educator who loves complex problems. Former CEO of IDEO and one of the leaders of the movement to re-design our systems of learning around the world. I’ve taught graduate students at Stanford University, undergraduates at Washington University in St. Louis, and 5th graders at Redding Elementary School. My work and ideas have been covered in publications such as the New York Times, Fortune, Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and on stages at Aspen Ideas Festival, Clinton Global Initiative, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum Davos. Currently collaborating with leaders who are looking to take creative leaps that benefit society through their businesses or philanthropies. On the boards of Design for Good and JUST Capital. A New Yorker by birth, a Californian by zip code, but the country I find most inspiring is India. A good brainstorm partner on just about any topic.
