I am a hard-working and enthusiastic third year engineering student currently pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science at Saint Joseph Engineering College, India, and will graduate in 2020. Engineering College, has always given me a sense of contentment and enhanced my love for technology. I was brought up in Doha-Qatar and completed grade 1 to 12 in Ideal Indian School, Doha-Qatar. Growing up in the middle east, I have had the opportunity of interacting with people of different nationalities and experiencing various cultures and cuisines. I enjoy travelling, experiencing nature at its best at picturesque places, swimming and carrying out adventure sports. Leisurely, I also love reading, gardening, painting and singing. Philately has always been my hobby and I love collecting and maintaining my stamp album. I am good at public speaking, team work, event management and have held various leadership positions in school and college and continue to do so.

I am very passionate about philately, nature, environment and water conservation. I take keen interest in gardening and love travelling. Travelling to foreign countries has taught me how to appreciate different values, cultures and lifestyles and has transformed me into an interesting and adventurous person.

I believe that "Women entrepreneurship" is an idea worth spreading. Women entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in India in the wake of globalization and economic liberalization. In recent years there has been record rise in female entrepreneurship. Through TED platforms we should strive to bring out stories of passion and grit and celebrate the spirit of womanhood. Empowering women and motivating them to face their challenges independently will definitely inspire them to provide for themselves and support their families.

TED offers an enormous platform for sharing ideas and nurturing young minds. I love watching TED videos and they have been a great source of inspiration to me. When I attended my first live TED talk in Bengaluru, I was deeply motivated by the stories I heard that day and felt a strong desire to bring TED to our college campus. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to travel or attend a TED talk, hence my goal is to make TED a reality in my college which will definitely be a dream come true for many young minds to nurture, think, share and collaborate. I also strongly believe that this is a great platform for those speakers who are looking forward to sharing their life experience with us.
