Bio
Jessica Bolaños is a Houston-based entrepreneur, storyteller, educator, and co-founder of Goodspero, a video production and digital content agency that helps impact-driven teams and organizations communicate ideas, capture and tell human stories, and use emerging technology more effectively.
For more than 20 years, she has worked across business, nonprofit, civic, education, arts, and community settings, supporting organizations ranging from small entrepreneurial teams to institutions with dozens of locations and multilingual audiences.
Her work has taken her from communities and classrooms to boardrooms, executive teams, local city government, live events, and behind-the-scenes production environments, giving her a systems-level view of how people, communication, technology, and organizational culture intersect.
Today, Jessica’s work increasingly focuses on generative AI, AI agents, and the changing relationship between humans and intelligent systems. She designs and teaches AI workshops for entrepreneurs, professionals, and teams, with an emphasis on applying AI to real current goals rather than teaching it as a technical subject.
She and her husband and business partner, Nelson Vanegas, are currently co-teaching AI agents within the Leadership curriculum at the University of Houston’s Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. Students are learning not only how to build and direct AI agents, but how to connect those systems to their personal purpose, vision, mission, goals, and responsibilities as leaders.
Her current exploration centers on human agency, judgment, purpose, and what happens when increasingly capable AI can help determine how to accomplish something, leaving humans with the increasingly important responsibility of deciding what is worth doing and why.
She is a University of Houston alumna, longtime entrepreneur, mentor, and lifelong learner whose work is grounded in curiosity, experimentation, storytelling, and sharing lessons learned through experience.

An idea worth spreading
As we delegate more work to AI, will we actually need more human leadership, not less?
