Bio
Ngan Phan is an international student from Vietnam studying in the United States since her early 13 years of age. She has shown her interest in Politics, Asian Philosophy, and Educational Public Policy and has a high possibility to persuade her major in Public Policy or Political Science analysis in the later year. Having lived in Vietnam throughout her childhood, Ngan Phan speaks fluently in Vietnamese and English. Come from a developing, middle-income country, Phan has observed the financial and social inequality within the region. Her observation becomes more supportive when she starts to travel to other countries in her early year. This frames her a dream to create or change the society in a better manner and brighter future for all. She, herself, thinks that everyone has the right to receive a proper education, open up to opportunities and treat with equality in income distribution. Ngan Phan is the founder of Danang International Model United Nations (DAIMUN), and the president of TEDxNewman to promote these ideas and give the youth chances to voice out the opinion on current issues. She is also the manager of The Elastic Band, an acoustic band of Newman School of Boston.
I'm passionate about
Come from a developing, middle-income country, I have observed the financial and social inequality within the region. My observation becomes more supportive when I started to solo travel to other countries in my early year. This frames me a dream to create or change the society in a better manner and brighter future for all. I think that everyone has the right to receive a proper education, open up to opportunities and treat with equality in income distribution.
