Bio
Louisville, KY is home and out of all the other places I have lived, Louisville has my heart. Louisville is a big small town with a lot going on and I have always loved being part of it. My roots were very simple, living in Louisville's Portland and West End where the people are solid and connected but life can be tough. Shootings happen, but mostly there's love, community and connection. Growing up, life was simple, safe and rarefied. I learned a lot from the neighborhood and I am still involved and feeling so fortunate for this place.
I am part innovation and part producer mixed with stubborn ambition to see an idea come to be. I seriously believe that anything can be achieved with enough tenacity, flexibility, preparation, and care.
My happiness comes from standing behind the scenes, observing a successful event, seeing others enjoy, learn and connect. This includes family, friends and clients and can be just a simple family dinner at home presented in a unique way.
I am my happiest in concert with others, especially students. I owned an Ad Agency in Durham, NC for 12 years and hired Duke students part-time. We weren't afraid to take risks for developing commercials and ads. We developed new methods for tracking commercials and a new process for commercial production. Mostly, we had fun and weren't afraid to put our ideas to work. I learned a lot.
My background includes working in dinner theater, for a TV station; (WHAS in Louisville), 2 radio stations, and a print media company located in Nashville, TN.
I currently work part-time for Southern Seminary-Event Productions in Louisville, and I continue to provide entertainment bookings for special events through my small agency; Urban Corps Promotions; www.urbancorpspromotions.com.
“Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
I'm passionate about
Family, nature, music, great coffee and people who aren't afraid to take risks.
An idea worth spreading
I am fascinated with Kentucky's Appalachian region and the abundance of natural healing medicines that grow in the hills and in its thickets. I believe a pharmacy featuring remedies made from the natural plants, bark and flowers of Appalachia would be a step closer to becoming less dependent on pharmaceuticals made with non-organic chemically based ingredients.
and ..
An art challenge to art up alleyways with murals, plants and unique sculptures/structures.
Areas of expertise

The TED story
I started watching TED talks somewhere in the mid-1990's and I was hooked. I have so many TED talks that I have loved and nearly every time I watch, another favorite emerges. My children were shown LOTS of TED talks they will tell you they were made to watch. Now watching TED talks is part of their life. Here's two of my favorites:
