Change Agent, Idea generator, Social entrepreneur, Student

Bio

Bachelor of Administration and International Business and member of Academic Excellence of the UPC. I love volunteering, traveling, dancing, watching talks and attending conferences about social entrepreneurship and startups.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about helping and motivating people. For the past 5 years, I have been volunteering with the university where I study, where we visited homes of girls who had been raped in the poorest areas of Peru and we brought them theater and dance presentations so they could have fun. What I like most about these moments is that I can approach the girls and get to know them a little more, listen to their stories, share anecdotes and advise them so they can make good decisions. We also visit grandparents in nursing homes, and we share valuable moments with them helping them clean, dancing, sharing snacks, etc. I love doing it because, in this way, we remind you that you are not alone. Every time I finish volunteering and return home, I feel grateful because I learn from people, I connect with them and I become more sensitive to social problems.

An idea worth spreading

Idea: "Inclusion through entrepreneurship - Empanacombi's inclusive cuisine". Empanacombi is a culinary social enterprise that promotes the labor inclusion of chefs with disabilities. Its handmade products are made in the first inclusive kitchen in the country for people with disabilities. It is a space adapted to enhance the performance of young people with various diagnoses (hearing impairment, mild retardation, down syndrome and autism), which incorporates reasonable adjustments designed from principles of inclusive design.

The TED story

Since I was in school, I know about the TED talks. The first time I saw a TED Talk, I was amazed by the power of motivation that I had. Now I am 20 years old and, two years ago I dared to apply as a TEDxTukuy participant, they accepted me and it was incredible. I met many people and I was very inspired. When the event ended, I was convinced to challenge my status quo and contribute to improving society. The power to share ideas is enormous, and I want to do it in my university community so that students, teachers and others are inspired to follow their goals and dreams.
