Marios Perrakis

Marios was born in Athens, Greece. Athens is his geographic point of reference, though he has continuously lived in the city only during his college years. Due to his father's profession and his own personal choices, he has in fact spent most of his life in several other cities and towns throughout Greece, Cyprus, and lately the United Kingdom, while he has also attended schools and educational programs in Portugal and the United States. Having a constantly high record of academic excellence, he was admitted to all educational institutions he attended with a scholarship. During his years in the academia, he obtained a Diploma (MSc & BSc) in Applied Mathematics, and an MSc in Analytics: Operational Research and Risk Analysis. Parallel to his studies however, Marios has been actively involved with performance arts, amateur dramatics and music. He has been a member of 11 theater and folk dance groups, having co-founded 1, he has attended piano classes and ad hoc workshops in drama acting, has performed either as a musician, dancer, or actor in numerous and diverse productions, including the Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the Athens 2004 Olympics, he has received awards in Acting and Oral Interpretation of Literature, areas in which he later trained students for the purpose of Public Speaking competitions, and has worked as a Drama/Music Counselor in a New York based leadership program for bright students from all around the world. A genuine extrovert, he is passionate about people and our development through sharing, openness and extroversion, and is currently conceptualizing projects towards this direction.
