JD Sun

J.D. Sun is Founder and Vice President of BrightStar Healthcare responsible for creating the company’s marketing materials and managing company communications. J.D. and his wife Shelly were inspired to establish BrightStar Healthcare together in 2002 after experiencing several obstacles in finding quality caregivers for his grandmother. Prior to being vice president, he was the sales director responsible for developing new acquisition opportunities, defining territory, and communicating potential customer needs with office staff to ensure recruiting efforts are aligned. Prior to founding BrightStar Healthcare, Mr. Sun was a trader at 28 Limited in Gurnee, Illinois. His responsibilities included managing all aspects of accounting including administration, financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting and expense budgeting. Mr. Sun holds a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University and a Bachelors of Science from Knox College.
