Aleph Molinari is the founder and president of the Fundacion Proacceso, a non-profit organisation dedicated to reducing the digital divide and providing educational tools in low-income areas in Mexico. The main projects of the Fundacion Proacceso are the Learning and Innovation Network (RIA), a group of 70 digital inclusion centers that provide quality education through technology, and an additional network of 50 Digital Libraries located within public schools. The Fundacion Proacceso has presence throughout 55 municipalities in Mexico, while its educational programs and videogames have been used in more than 28 countries. In more than nine years of operation, the RIA centers and the Digital Libraries have registered more than 1.4 million users, of which more than 750,000 have graduated from its courses. Aleph Molinari studied economics and critical theory at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, continuing his studies at the New School in New York City. In 2014 he graduated from the Executive Program of Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford University in California. Aleph is part of the New Ventures network, the World Technology Network and member of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum. Aleph Molinari is an advocate of the central role of technology in empowering of communities, especially women, by democratizing access to information and economic opportunities. As leader of projects of digital inclusion in low-income areas, he has consulted for both the public and private sector in developing scalable and impactful solutions for social development. Aleph Molinari has presented the projects of the Fundacion Proacceso in the annual forums of the OECD in the 2010, 2011 and 2012, the World Bank CSO Meetings 2010, the Global Philanthropy Forum, TED Talks, in the Berkman Center for Internet & Society of the Harvard University, the World Technology Forum and recently at the 2018 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) , where the RIA project was nominated on the category 4 “Capacity Building”. The modular and ecological architectural model of the RIA centers was included in the 4th Compendium of Exemplary Educational Facilities of the OECD. In 2012, he was the first Mexican to be awarded the Dewey Community Service Award in the United States. The Fundacion Proacceso has also received the Prize for Institutionality and Transparency in 2015 from the Mexican Philanthropy Center (CEMEFI). In 2016, Aleph Molinari received the International Award from the Association of Employers and Sister Cities for the creation of scalable social development projects. In 2017, the Fundacion Proacceso received a special recognition for its contribution for the training 5,000 users (70% women) in practical skills in retail, customer service and marketing. The recognition was presented by The TRUST For The Americas with the support of the Walmart Foundation and the Organization of American States (OAS).
