Bio
Graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Earned my Art Education certificate from Delaware State University. Completed my Master’s in Education in Applied Technology at Wilmington College. Began my teaching career in Dallas, TX.
Taught in Maryland and Delaware where I was voted the "2003 Teacher of the Year" representative for my building and was nominated for the"Art Educator of the Year" Award for the state of Delaware. Have also presented for the state and national art education conventions as well as served as Delaware’s state delegate for the NAEA National Convention in 2004.
Currently a Team Leader at Steuart Weller Elementary and Cluster Leader for Loudoun County Public Schools. Pioneer and coach for district assessment initiative.
Change Agent in my school and district throughout several technology-related initiatives, including effective implementation of interactive whiteboards, gesture-based computing, and assessment.

Currently work with educational luminares who inspire me, mentor me, and help lead the way in creating positive change in education.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about art in education, moving students beyond the rigors of everyday curriculum and making sure that creativity is a part of their education. I beleave in the "a" in STEaM.
