Bio

Michael Erhayanmen is a passionate Boy Child and Global Surgery Advocate with over 3years of experience working on social development. He is the founder of Koret Boys Initiative – a boy child advocacy initiative focused on raising a tribe of ideal boys, especially vulnerable boys from under-privileged and poor communities, through education, mentorship, empowerment and advocacy, who will purposefully transition into ideal men. Michael is the Immediate Past President of the Rotaract Club of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (2021-2022) and it was his immerse passion to helping and contributing meaningfully to humanity that led to him joining the Rotaract Club of the Rotary International where he is contributing his skills, talent and time to the growth and development of his immediate community and the world at large through engaging community development service projects and he currently serves as the Rotaract District 9141, Nigeria Medical Team Lead where he leads a team of medical youth volunteers covering 4 states (Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers). In 2020 he was recognized by The Future Africa Award as one of the 100 African Heroes Beating Corona. He also won the Union Rise Challenge Award by Union Bank Plc and was featured in the COVID Positive Stories of the Nigerian Youth SDGs and ichangefoundation.org for his contribution to fighting the pandemic. He was a World Literacy Foundation Ambassador 2020 and a Campus Director of the Millennium Campus Network 2021 under the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and he currently serves as the Program and Project Coordinator for the NiMSA Technical Committee for Gender Based Violence and Other Related Matters as well as the Policy Review Chairperson for the NiMSA Standing Committee on Policy Implementation. For his knack for youth development and his work as a youth development strategist, Michael was part of the Nigerian youth delegation to the All-African Youth Conference held in Ghana in 2022. He currently holds a TEDx License and he is the curator of TEDxAAUEkpoma as well as the organizer of a youth focused capacity development conference known as The Accelerate Conference. He holds a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and currently studies Medicine and Surgery at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and aspires to be a surgeon. He is currently a Global SOTA Fellow at the G4 Alliance Global Surgery, Obstetrics, Trauma and Anaesthesia Care, United States as well as a member of the InciSion International, where he contributes his experience to advocating global surgery.
