Hello! I am David Daniel Bdliya (DDB) and I am deeply committed to three interconnected pillars: growth, impact, and sustainability. These principles inspire me and provide a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
With over half a decade of experience as a Strategy Consultant and Operations Analyst, I have had the privilege of helping over 100 small businesses and startups achieve sustainable growth. Through strategic solutions, I have played a vital role in their success, with over 51% of them thriving today. Additionally, I have assisted numerous clients in raising significant funds, surpassing the $100,000 mark, by creating compelling investor pitch decks and providing negotiation support.
I am driven by a genuine desire to help businesses launch, scale, and optimize their operations. By implementing sustainable systems, I aim to ensure long-term success. Whether it's turning ideas into reality, evaluating and improving business operations, or attracting investors, I am dedicated to assisting you.
Beyond my consulting work, I am actively involved as a co-host of the 'X-tricated Podcast' and as a Millennium Fellow. Through these platforms, I aim to contribute to important conversations around sustainable economic growth and governance policies globally. I believe in making a meaningful impact and empowering others to create a better future.
I also extend my expertise and support to young professionals, guiding and coaching them to find their true selves, unlock their potential, and experience immense personal and professional growth. It brings me great joy to witness their transformative journeys and help them make a meaningful impact in their chosen paths. Additionally, I provide valuable assistance to professionals in creating standout resumes and optimizing their LinkedIn profiles, enabling them to attract exciting career opportunities.
I'm passionate about
As a kid, all my parents wanted was for me to become a medical doctor. But deep inside, I had a different calling—I wanted to become a software engineer. It was a passion that burned brightly within me, driving my curiosity and pushing me to explore the world of technology. Years passed, and I found myself caught up in the whirlwind of expectations. I was convinced that becoming a medical doctor was the right path for me, so I did everything necessary, passed all the exams, and waited for admission into medical college. But life had a different plan in store.
Instead of receiving that acceptance letter, I found myself admitted to study Veterinary Medicine in 2016. It was a massive blow, something I never saw coming. I spent the next two years desperately trying to switch to medical college, exploring every avenue I could think of, but all my efforts went in vain. Even attempting to switch schools didn't yield the desired outcome.
Then, in 2018, a ray of light appeared in the form of an organization called Enactus. This experiential learning platform provided college and university students like me with a unique opportunity to build skills while creating projects and transforming them into social enterprises. Little did I know that joining Enactus would be the turning point that reshaped my entire perspective. Enactus became a place where I could channel my energy, skills, and creativity. It was a much-needed distraction from the academic world that had previously left me feeling depressed. And it was during this time that three principles, my pillars, began to take shape: Growth, Impact, and Sustainability.
Growth became my first pillar—a driving force behind everything I do. I have an insatiable hunger to continually grow and become exceptional in my chosen path. It's not just about personal achievements; it's about constantly pushing boundaries and reaching new heights.
Impact became the second pillar, bringing purpose and fulfilment to my life. I discovered that my true passion lies in helping people, brands, and communities around me to grow. Making a positive impact has become a fundamental part of my identity, and I'm committed to using my skills and resources to empower others.
Sustainability emerged as the third pillar. I realized that creating lasting change requires not only immediate impact but also the ability to sustain and nurture that impact over time. I want the growth and impact I make to become self-sustaining, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
Since 2018, my story has taken a different trajectory. I made the bold decision to switch career paths and embraced the world of computer science. I realized that with this field, I could harness the tools and knowledge I acquire to fuel growth, make a meaningful impact, and create systems that are built to last.
Here I am today, fueled by my passion for growth, impact, and sustainability. It's not just a fleeting interest but a deep-seated fire that guides my every step. I feel a profound sense of purpose and fulfilment when I witness others grow when I make a positive impact, and when I contribute to sustainable change.

The TED story
My TEDx Story started with me watching hundreds of TED and TEDx talks and in 2018 I attended my first-ever TEDx event, TEDxAhmaduBelloUniversity. It was such an amazing experience and since then, I have attended and volunteered in at least 3 TEDx events annually.
My TEDx experience in 2019 (which was the first TEDx event I volunteered in) as the head of partnerships and sponsorship was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. When I was entrusted with the responsibility by the curator, Ridwan, I initially felt overwhelmed because the deliverables seemed almost impossible to achieve within just three months before the event.
One of the major hurdles we faced was the economic situation in Nigeria at that time, which made it difficult to secure sponsorship from established brands, organizations, and commercial institutions. Despite our efforts for an entire month, we realized that these entities were not willing to take the risk of investing their money in sponsoring the event.
To overcome this obstacle, we decided to pivot our approach and explore sponsorship opportunities with small grassroots brands and organizations seeking visibility. It turned out to be a win-win situation for both parties involved. These lesser-known entities needed an audience to showcase their work, and our event provided the perfect platform for them to gain exposure.
Witnessing the success of the event on an actual day filled us with a deep sense of fulfilment. I felt immense joy knowing that what initially appeared to be an insurmountable task had become a reality. It was a testament to the power of thinking on my feet and finding creative solutions despite the numerous challenges we faced.
Overall, my TEDx experience was a remarkable journey that taught me valuable lessons in perseverance, adaptability, and the ability to turn obstacles into opportunities.
