For several decades Doug has played a significant role in making Jacksonville, Florida, a more livable city. He won wide acclaim as chairman of the group that organized the Riverside Arts Market. His professional career was in the airline and travel industry as founder and CEO of Coleman Travel Corporation and Coleman Ski Tours. Doug is the organizer of TEDxRiversideAvondale and TEDxJacksonville, and is a board member/past officer of North Florida Land Trust, Jacksonville Sister Cities Association, and the Ordre des Chevaliers Bretvin. He served as Chair of the Host Committee for the World Conference of Sister Cities in 2012. Doug is an artist and a sailor, who crossed the Atlantic and sailed on to 16 European countries and Turkey. He is a skier and founder of the Jacksonville Ski Club. He is exceptionally proud of and honored to work with the brilliant team that makes TEDxJacksonville such a life-changing organization.

I attended TEDxMuskegon in 2011, and was so stunned by the imaginative, creative, optimistic people and the powerful event they produced that I wanted to organize a TEDx event in Jacksonville....and TED.com approved a license! I've since organized a number of events in Jacksonville, Florida, and attended TEDxScottsdale, TEDActive 2013, TEDActive 2014, TEDSalonBerlin, TEDSummit, TEDFest, TEDxBeaconStreet, TEDxUF, and TEDxFSCJ. I would love to attend your TEDx event!
