Bio
I am the co-Founder and COO of EverFi, an online gaming and learning platform to teach young adults the basics of critical life skills like financial literacy, digital literacy and health and wellness. EverFi serves 3500 institutions and in both K12 and Higher Education with our platform and over 4 million students have been certified in one of our programs. Prior to EverFi, I worked in a variety of operating, marketing and business development roles for a division of Kaplan, Inc., and was part of the early team for Score, an after-school tutoring division that harnesses learning technology as a key component of its curriculum. My contributions to Score included running four different markets across the country with operating responsibility of up to $15 million. In each of these posts I championed initiatives that produced substantial and consistent top and bottom line growth. I earned my MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland where I concentrated in Entrepreneurship and consulted with several area start-up organizations. I got my undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College.
I live outside of DC in Annapolis, MD and am married with two young boys ages 4 and 1. I am active in the Annapolis community and serve as the President of the city's largest neighborhood association as well as on the Board of the Mayor's Economic Development Commission.

The TED story
I'm thrilled to participate in TED and share some of my ideas about education and technology but more importantly be inspired by the many other ideas from other TEDsters. I've always believed in the power of social entrepreneurship and look forward to being inspired by so many examples from fellow attendees.
