Bio
Diane Hatz is a social entrepreneur and healthy food advocate working to build a more healthful, sustainable, equitable world, with a focus on food and farming.
As founder & executive director of the nonprofit Change Food®, Diane works toward a healthier food system for people, animals & the planet. Her latest project “Plant Eat Share” is promoting efforts in communities worldwide to grow and share food.
She founded East Village Neighbors in 2020 to help provide food for her community in New York City and is co-founder of the East Village Neighbors Community Fridge and Pantry which is feeding upwards of 2,000 people a week in Manhattan.
She founded and organized TEDxManhattan “Changing the Way We Eat” from 2011-2015 and has been a food advocate for over 20 years.
Diane is currently developing The Santa Fe Center for Food, Art, Culture and Calm in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to innovate, celebrate and create viable solutions to pressing problems in food and farming and is organizing the Whole Health Summit in Santa Fe in May 2022.
