Bio

An Electronics Engineer by qualification and an Edupreneur by passion I, Mrs. Astha Kataria am the Managing Trustee of Ashoka Group of Schools since 2007. I strongly believe that the primary aim of education is to bring about a synergy between students, their parents and educators.I uphold the tenet that education should be dynamic and ever-evolving. At Ashoka Group of Schools I am constantly working towards facilitating learning that transcends the bounds of mere knowledge and rather instigates application. Learning according to me should be natural and not mechanized. I constantly strive to strike a balance in creating lifelong learners while inculcating deep-rooted Indian ethos and values in them. And with this in mind, we applied for a TEDxYouth license last year. After having successfully hosted TEDxYouth@AUS (Ashoka Universal School) on the 15th December 2019, we are excited to host the next TEDxYouth event and bring to our audience who mostly comprise of our students a plethora of insightful, vibrant and dynamic youth who through their talks can share their ideas and life experiences.

I'm passionate about

Cycling and Nature

An idea worth spreading

Inspired by the famous quote by Earl Nightingale, “Everything begins with an idea.” at TEDxYouth@AUS, it is believed that however insane and crazy the idea might be at its inception, it can become a reality with sheer dedication, motivation, indulgence and proper vision. The chosen speakers will be bringing such innovative and mind boggling ideas to the TEDxYouth@AUS platform with an aim to bring together bright minds that are idea-focused, and are open to be audience to a wide range of subjects, ready to foster learning, inspiration, wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.
