Bio
Ravi joined NEA in 2004, where he is a General Partner on the technology team; he focuses on investments in the software, internet, and fintech sectors. Ravi works closely with several private companies including: BloomReach, Forter, Gladly, Plaid, Reltio and others. Ravi’s prior investments include: Braintree (acquired by PayPal), Cyence (acquired by Guidewire), MuleSoft, and TeleAtlas.
Prior to NEA, Ravi was co-head of the private equity technology practice at Goldman, Sachs, & Co., and has worked for McKinsey & Co., and Raychem Corp., where he focused on research and product development in various materials systems.
Ravi received an MBA from Wharton, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UCSB, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He remains actively involve with Wharton, and serves on the Wharton Entrepreneurship Advisory Board.
Born in Madras, India, Ravi currently lives in Burlingame, CA with his wife and two children. He enjoys food and wine, running, and collecting the latest in wearable technology. One of Ravi’s favorite places in the world is Tuscany, and one of the best books he’s read is A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierly.
