If asked where she comes from, Caterina would always answer “Europe”. Born and raised in Central Italy, she graduated at the Carlo Bo University of Urbino, with an experimental thesis on the power of social media on the perception and the exploitation of the ‘Made in Italy’. She started working at EngineLab, web agency, as Community and International Brand Manager. After getting the MSM Trust award she moved to Oxford to study at the CES International School, where she discovered the power of cultures. After four months in England living and learning with people from all over the world, her mindset was changed. She started taking part in European and international trainings for 

She actually works as project manager at POPEDU, organising and coordinating international and intercultural exchanges and trainings for young people, empowering them on how to use social media for social inclusion. She is an expert of the Eramsus+ programme of the European Commission in Brussels. She also works as social media and community manager for SuperSocial, offering workshops, seminars, services, and products focused on social media marketing for social enterprises and NGOs.

The world is beautiful cause it´s various. But how can we appreciate it if we don’t embrace its variety? Embracing variety means recognising and appreciating differences. As individuals we born and raise in bubbles: country bubbles, language bubble, religion, culture, believes. With bubbles come boundaries and with boundaries stereotypes. Breaking bubbles means appreciating differences, it means inclusion. It would take us one day per month to get to know a reality we are unaware of, or most likely, we have stereotypes on. Experiencing the call to the mosque and entering one, listening to a Christian celebration if we are muslim, volunteering in a recovery place for elderly people, going to a drag queen show, joining communities of expats would give us an insight of the beautiful diversity the world is made of, it would give us the power of understanding and inclusion.

My TEDx journey started as volunteer at different TEDx events in Austria and India. I got caught from the positive energy of the organisers and incredible ideas from on-stage.
