I have three mains passions: The first is music. I think it is because I have always been surrounded by music, thanks to my father. He is a drummer, so was my grandfather. My sister also has played the saxophone for 10 years and I’ve played the guitar and sung since I was 7. My whole family was deeply immersed in music. I think it is the only art that really affects me and gives me feelings. I took classes to learn how to sing, in a choir, which was really amazing for me, to sing in front of more than 100 people. The songs were mainly French and American. After that experience, I decided to start playing the guitar to accompany me. Then, I wanted to spend more time in music, so I decided to create my own YouTube channel to widen my audience, to receive critics and to improve myself. It worked pretty well for me as I acquired 200 followers and 40 000 views – for all of my videos. Then, before entering high school I decided to delete everything, worried about being judged and looking for new adventures. I still practice on my own, but I sing just for some friends and myself. The other one is to undertake projects. I love to create new things or to help developing them. Because it means creating (or joining) a team and going from start to finish. At the beginning there is nothing and after the project, we have content. I have been involved in 3 big personal projects for now. The first one was a funny project with friends when we were 12-13 years old, we created an online TV channel and were trying to organize talk shows. As you can imagine, it was clearly a mess but so much fun! I was in charge of visual animation, music, video and talks. The second one was about a French feminine soccer team in Nantes, the city where I have been living for 20 years. My sister was creating a team with friends, so I helped to find the name, the website and the whole communication (Facebook page, website with WordPress, posters via Photoshop). After 2 years, my sister left the team, so I disengaged myself from it. I was also involved in the Office student of my university that I had integrated. When I arrived, it was a small association with lot of possibilities to help gathering people. I tried to develop it by creating a new logo, a new communication strategy and offered to organize a weekend of integration to gather everyone. My last help was in the little company of my father, still about trying to develop a visual identity (logo) and the website. I think I really like to create visual contents. I am already doing the promotion of the last year TEDxGEM and creating the posters, I would be proud to do the next edition too. The last passion I have is traveling!!! My sister started the trend in our family, going in an internship in Australia. We joined her during holidays for 2 weeks with the trip team: my parents, my sister’s godmother, and I. After this experience, we renewed it and went to Brazil, Canada, the United States and next year we intend to travel to Mexico! But I acknowledge that it is just tourism and nothing more. I really want to discover those countries as a student over there or as a worker. That’s why I look forward to doing my internship in South America, and as I love challenges, I am improving my Spanish skills, to become fluent

Which design for tomorrow’s world? For several decades now, people and industries have been striving to create more and more powerful products, each time better, bigger, more efficient and cheaper. In the 21st century, epitomizing sustainable development more than ever, designers have to rethink of designing products but also processes and experiences. Why could we not stop using plastic toothbrushes and go back to wood and natural fibbers? What about stopping using lithium batteries and use a new battery generation based on wood fibbers? Finally, why not trying to produce the same amount with less, instead of producing more with the same amount of energy and raw materials? At the time when computers are used just for surfing on YouTube or Facebook, designers should stop looking forward to producing more. This attitude has yet to be necessary as resources are becoming scarcer and more expensive. We should stop creating products, services or experiences for the sake of creating, we should be thinking about the deep needs of users. In the Economist’s edition of January 12th 2019, we can find: Bad News for Apple is good news for Humanity, referring to the plethoric production that they are part of. The stance is that maybe we, consumers, managers, producers, should go back to the old days, with more mechanical actions requiring less energy, less chemicals or transformed-based materials, that consume a lot of energy. Biomimetics, which consists in imitating systems and elements of nature to solve complex problems, should be not be considered just as a trend but as a real alternative in doing things. Biomimetics has applications in many different fields, Grenoble was indeed home in 2015 to a symposium on biomimetics and sustainable chemistry co-organised by the Arcane laboratory, a centre for scientific excellence in Grenoble. Indeed, such scientific studies might help humans to imitate the efficiency of photosynthesis, corals’ solidity or the resistance of a spider’s web. Exploring this topic will show how resourceful and powerful nature can be and might give our audience an incentive to better observe it.

I discovered TED Talks 3 years ago. I was not able to sleep at all so, I decided to take my phone and go on YouTube to find some videos to entertain me at 4 am. I was looking for useful videos that could teach me anything about me, my country, the world, the nature. And I found a video about the brain elasticity. The title was really sexy to me, so I started to watch it, and this is how TED Talks has come in my life. After that, I’ve been watching TED talks several times a month. I wanted to see one in real, but I had not had the opportunity during my licence degree, to move as I was working every day. But finally, after starting my scholarship in Grenoble EM, the desire came true, as in October 2018, a group of students organized one in the school, so I have finally been able to assist in real to a TEDx talk. It was a great experience and at the end of it, after some exchanges with the team, I have challenged myself to organize one to be completely part of the TEDx experience as a viewer and an organizer.
