An idea worth spreading
Success with honor has been a virtue taught at my alma mater. Even through turmoil at the university, when we create we must be careful of the implications of our creation. Nobel created a monster in dynamite, and spent his life's earnings trying to associate his name with positive creations.
The TED story
My story is not too far from many TED folks. I was a fan of the videos online, and would email them to my friends and family when I found one to be especially powerful. A TEDx event sprung up not too far from me, and I went from getting my feet wet with TED to diving in headfirst. The rest is history.
